CURRENT JOB OPENING: Collaboration Engineer


Secure Data Technologies has an immediate opening for a Collaboration Engineer on the Engineering Delivery Services team. The Collaboration Engineer is responsible for interacting directly with customers and Secure Data employees.  You will be responsible for designing, building, and deploying elements of technology to solve business problems. You will work with a team to monitor, research, and investigate technology used in business applications. You will assist internal and external clients improve with the stability of different technology platforms. We are looking for a self-starter that will maintain established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards. 

As a member of the Engineering Delivery Services team, you will be responsible for guiding our customers in the latest design concepts, implementation, and operationalization of IT systems. You will focus on ensuring each platform, product, and service meet the needs of our external and internal client teams. You will work closely with your teammates to research, design, lab, and implement enterprise IT systems and services. 

This position may have a 24×7 on call rotation.

  • Authorized to work in the US and will not require sponsorship now or in the future to work
  • Experience managing supported Networks, Windows server Operating Systems and associated technologies
  • Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and perform night and weekend maintenance as necessary
  • Ability to work on multiple priorities and/or support cases simultaneously
  • Ability to build positive and collaborative relationships outside and within the organization
  • Ability to complete tasks in both a professional and timely manner with minimal supervision
  • Excellent listening and communications skills, both verbal and written
  • Expert level in at least one of the Preferred Qualifications listed below
  • 7+ years of experience working in Service Provider or Enterprise IT


IP Telephony design and implementation experience, including:

  • Cisco Voice Expertise
  • Cisco Call Manager, CUCM
  • Cisco Unity
  • Cisco Presence
  • WebEx Expertise
  • UCCX or Jabber Scripting
  • Video Conferencing integration experience with MS Teams, Poly and Zoom
  • 8+ years of training experience in an enterprise collaboration environment with end-user application support experience
  • Working knowledge of integrating Office 365, Exchange, Skype, Teams, Zoom, WebEx, and Polycom
  • Experience with design and implementation of IT projects and major efforts, to include documentation, communication, and coordination of all components
  • 2+ years of developing information system design, governance, process, procedure documentation
  • Expertise in coordination and escalation to Cisco support and ability to coordinate with first- and third-party software vendors as needed for resolution of business-impacting problems
  • Experience with enterprise class network management/monitoring systems


  • Bachelor degree, or equivalent experience
  • Expert level certification(s), or equivalent experience


  • Professional office environments
  • Louis, Columbia, Springfield metro area, travel may be required
  • Some travel may be required
