GeCAS

Secure Data has fully funded and developed GeCAS to process DD Form 2875, subsequent
Certifying Officer DD Form 577, and certification appointment letters. The initial
version was designed in preparation for the initial deployment of Defense Enterprise
Accounting Management System (DEAMS) in June 2008. The GeCAS solutions is also planned
for other application in the near future and is easily customized for any form requirements.
The streamlined process of GeCAS significantly cuts time needed and operational costs
associated with document processing. Because everything is handled electronically,
GeCAS eliminates the long and sometimes complicated process of obtaining manual signatures
from commanders, security managers, and other approving officials.
eFinance
Secure Data has developed a web-based system called eFinance that allows an Air
Force member to self initiate, complete, and digitally sign pay entitlement documents
not available in myPay (an online system where active duty members can print their
statements and change monthly allotments and tax information). Members can easily
access eFinance through a direct link or through the Air Force Portal.
eFinance saves time for the member, manpower for the Financial Services Office, and reduces errors for
both by ensuring the forms are completed correctly based on the checks and balances
incorporated within the system.
LeaveWeb
In 2000, Secure Data deployed the Air Force Leave Request and Tracking System (LeaveWeb),
a web-enabled application for processing military leave. Initially tested at Scott
AFB, this automated system is the solution to the time and money expended manually
completing AF Form 988.
LeaveWeb’s success is well known by senior leadership throughout the Air Force, and
is portrayed as the best financial system in years. Currently, LeaveWeb is deployed
to 81 bases, boasts over 600,000+ users, and processes approximately 2,000,000 transactions
per year. LeaveWeb’s paperless system saves an estimated $30,000,000 per year. LeaveWeb
also creates data that is used to prepare transactions that update the Defense
Joint Military Pay System (DJMS), and interfaces with and adjusts for rejects, recycles,
and other anomalies that DJMS produces. In addition to developing and maintaining
LeaveWeb, SDI also mans the LeaveWeb helpdesk. The helpdesk, consisting of numerous
former Air Force personnel, completes many behind-the-scenes tasks to keep LeaveWeb
as up-to-date as possible.
Pay Entitlement Processing Application (PEPA)
Secure Data has designed and developed one of the major components in the financial
services tools set: the Pay Entitlement Processing Application (PEPA). PEPA is a
standalone Windows GUI-based application that converts raw manpower data into a pay
entitlement format for input by a financial services technician into the Defense
Joint Military Pay System (DJMS). PEPA determines if specific pay entitlements are
required for the individuals on the file and generates a stop or start transaction
accordingly. The system places the generated pay transaction into a compatible file
that can be imported into the military pay system. PEPA also provides statistical
reports in various formats for management use.
Permanent Change of Station In-Processing (PIPS)
Secure Data has developed PIPS, a web-based program that automates and streamlines
the Air Force relocation processing and payment procedures. It is an interactive
system that utilizes a wizard interface and accumulates required information from
the user and provides a tailored outcome per individual circumstance. The user digitally
signs the required document and electronically forwards to the Air Force Financial
Services Center (AFFSC) for payment. PIPS can be accessed through eFinance directly
or through the Air Force portal.
